Discussion "Higher Education System in Belarus and EHU Role in Its Development” was part of the set of events "Research Centres' Role and Activities in Belarus”. The set of events was the final stage of the project "Enhancing Research Centres' Activities in Belarus” supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
Discussion was organized by the Eastern Europe Studies Centre (EESC) and the European Humanities University (EHU) in order to stimulate the debates on the situation of higher education in Belarus, EHU capacities and possibilities to initiate changes as well as to discuss the role of the EHU for Belarus and Belarusian youth in Belarus and in exile. The discussion has gathered professors and students from the EHU as well as from other Belarusian universities, representatives of Belarusian research centres and Lithuanian experts on higher education.
