Master class "Development of Analytical Skills" was part of the set of events "Research Centres' Role and Activities in Belarus”. The set of events was the final stage of the project "Enhancing Research Centres' Activities in Belarus” supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers. During the master class the Mr. Zilvinas Martinaitis, expert at the Public Policy and Management Institute (Lithuania) has shared his knowledge about the toolbox for a professional researcher by finding the answers what a professional research is, how it has to be conducted and what the principles of a successful research are. Mr. Hugo Brady from the Centre for European Reform (Great Britain) has provided the participants with knowledge about think tanks' success factors as well as about think tanker's daily activities. Mr. Brady's class has triggered discussions on the features of a professional researcher, the organization of work in a 'real' think tank as well as on how a think tank becomes influential and why it is important.
