A third event of the series “What do Belarusians Think?” was held in Vilnius

On 1 October, during the Belarus Research Council Coordination meeting organized by the EESC, a third live panel discussion of the series “What do Belarusians Think?” took place in Vilnius. The series are organized to discuss the latest social research results on developments in Belarus.

The third event focused on the change in the social contract in Belarus. The discussion was started by Alena Artsiomenka,  Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BISS), who gave a presentation on the latest public opinion polls results in Belarus. The participants were introduced intothe shifts of  Belarusian society’s perceptions regarding state – society relations. The remaining experts Alyaksandr Sasnow, Independent Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies (IISEPS),  and Irina Tochitskaya, Institute of Privatization and Management (IPM), shared their opinion and interpretations on the presented results. The discussion was moderated by European Radio for Belarus journalist Maria Sadovskaya-Komlach.

The live online stream was broadcasted by delfi.ru, euroradio.by, belarusdigest.com and belinstitute.eu. Questions and comments were also communicated through Twitter. The working language of the event was Russian, while simultaneous translation to English was also provided.
