The Eastern Europe Studies Centre invites Belarusian students to register for the annual United Students of Belarus (USB) Rally that will take place in Lithuania on October 1 – 5, 2014.
The United Students of Belarus (USB) Rally is an opportunity to meet Belarusian youth studying around the world, to exchange experience and contacts, as well as to join the informal international network of Belarusians residing at home and abroad known today as the USB – the United Students of Belarus. This will already be the 8th USB Rally taking place in Lithuania.
Previous rallies have already welcomed nearly 300 socially engaged and active students, uniting them within the USB network. The geographical boundaries of the community already extend from the Baltic countries, Belarus and Russia to the Western and Southern Europe, and even the USA. Throughout its existence, the Rally has become a traditionally anticipated events, attracting enthusiasm from the Belarusian youth.
What is the topic of USB Rally 2014?
This year USB Rally will be devoted to the development of multicultural dialogue in attempt to establish an lively and reciprocal conversation with other cultures, develop an open and active society through development of Belarusian identity. The ultimate goal of this year’s Rally is to contribute to establishing the Belarusian society as a unique community, which also open to equal cooperation within the international sphere.
How can you contribute?
Your active participation and suggestions for the programme of USB Rally 2014 are indeed very welcome. Take the initiative, propose a workshop and email to the EESC (firstname.lastname@example.org) to make the Rally even more lively, innovative and progressive!
What do the organisers offer?
Join the unique project that combines both training and development with vibrant cultural programme and informal networking. Join the USB if you are a newcomer. Come, celebrate and strengthen your USB community!
- return travel costs from the place you reside to Vilnius (Lithuania);
- accommodation and board during the event;
- participants who do not possess a visa to enter Lithuania, will be assisted with visa application process (visas will be issued free of charge).

- registration fee of 35 LTL (~10 EUR).
Who can apply?
- Belarusian youth (18-35 years old), studying abroad;
- Belarusians studying in their motherland;
- USB alumni (former students that participated in previous USB Rallies).
What’s the application procedure?
To apply for the participation at the USB Rally 2013, please download the application form in MS Word HERE (https://www.eesc.lt/uploads/2014/USB_Rally_2014/USB_Rally_2014_Application_form_ENG.doc), fill it in and send to email@example.com by the 24th of August 2014.
The participants will be selected on the basis of the motivation expressed in the application form. Thus it absolutely necessary that you dully fill in the application form! Please note that places are limited. Please send your filled-in application form to us as soon as possible! Results of the selection will be available by the middle of September 2014.
Please note that incomplete, late and applications lacking the obligatory attachments shall not be considered in the selection process.
