The Eastern Europe Studies Centre hosted the event Building Baltic Consensus

On 9 September, the Eastern Europe Studies Centre, in cooperation with the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, organised the event Building Baltic Consensus. The discussions focused on issues related to the security of the Baltic Sea region, Sweden and Finland’s decision to seek NATO membership, and NATO’s response to the war launched by Russia in Ukraine.

The event was attended by high-level representatives of NATO member state governments and experts from think tanks such as the Polish Institute of International Affairs, the International Centre for Defence and Security, the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, and others. Also sharing observations were NATO Deputy Secretary General Baiba Braže and Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksandr Polishchuk, who joined the event remotely.
