The President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, visited the Eastern Europe Studies Centre and shared his thoughts on the country’s most important foreign and national security challenges.
Speaking about Russia’s aggression, the President stressed that this is not an attack on the security of an individual state, but on the security of the democratic world, and that the order of the democratic world is being called into question.
The President also discussed NATO, the European Union and relations with China.
This event marked the beginning of a series of discussions with the candidates for the Presidency of the Republic of Lithuania. The aim is to discuss the candidates’ foreign and national security policy priorities with the community of experts and the media. All those who are officially participating in the electoral process will be invited to take the floor. The events will continue until May.
