Daniel P. Fata is the former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for NATO and European Policy serving under President George W. Bush from 2005-2008. He is currently a Senior Advisor (non-resident) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.. He serves as a Commissioner on the congressionally-established U.S. Afghanistan War Commission.
